Halloween Unicorn Song

You might remember, when we published our official Magical Unicorn Life song. I thought I would just make the official Magical Unicorn Song, and that´s it, no more unicorn songs. I was wrong. Unicorns seem to inspire me in so many ways, and now, a Halloween unicorn song is born. The song is called Magic in the Air (Unicorn Is Hiding).

This Halloween song for unicorn fans will get unicorn lovers of all ages in the mood for magical Halloween! It was supposed to be just a background song for my new DIY Halloween unicorn headband tutorial video.

But it turned out I liked my new song, and I decided it should be published as a music video on YouTube, instead of just being background music. After all, there are not many unicorn themed Halloween songs! At least I´m not aware of any other ones.

Halloween Unicorn Song – “Magic in the Air (Unicorn Is Hiding)”

Can you feel the magic in the air?
Can you feel the magic?
A unicorn is hiding somewhere nearby

Verse 1:

Little bit of sunshine is showing through the clouds
Can you see the rainbow? There´s no doubt
A unicorn is nearby chasing it around
A unicorn is hiding on your background

Verse 2:

It´s been raining all day, it´s darker every night
But I can see a sparkle, there´s something bright
It´s almost Halloween and the pumpkins are alive
A unicorn is hiding in the Moon light

  1. Oh, how adorable! I love how catchy and mysterious and magical this sounds. I think you just gave me an earworm. Great backing track too! Which tools did you use to create the music? And what kind of microphone did you use? I use Mixcraft as my DAW and a Blue Yeti microphone. Really well done.

Did you have fun making this? =D I know I had fun listening to it.

    1. Thank you so much, Wendy! 🙂

Yeah, I had a lot of fun while making this song. Of course I had to record the vocals a couple of times until I was happy, but that’s normal.

I’m using Soundtrap for making music. I like the loops they have and it’s easy to use. I had their Premium version before, but now I’m just using the free version. You can’t use all their tools with the free version, but the selection is decent with the free version too.

The microphone I have is Audio-Technica AT2020USB+ cardioid condenser microphone.

Thank you for for sharing your DAW and microphone choices too! It’s good to know what other people are using and compare them.

  2. Who doesnt like unicorns, reminds me so much of my childhood. I liked the song too, it’s spanky and really catchy. My birthday happens to be on Halloween, a weird combo I know but do you have any ideas of how I could make both a memorable birthday and Halloween party, Unicorn theme but a bit more adult version.

    1. Thank you, Hope! Really, your birthday is on Halloween? A mixed birthday and Halloween party sounds like an opportunity for a party of a lifetime. If you’re into unicorns, and if you happen to like crafting, this DIY Halloween unicorn headband is just what you need! It’s perfect for both birthdays and Halloween.

You could also have similar party decorations. Unicorns with Halloween colors; black and orange. Cute, but darker than normally to match the Halloween.

  3. Congratulations on the song being turned into a music video. I was a bit disappointed when I clicked on the words saying A Halloween song for unicorn fans and it did not take me right to your video. Might be a good idea to link it right there. Im viewing the page on mobile and didnt see an embedded video to link to watch.

Very exciting to be creating music videos.

    1. Hi Jane,

Thank you for your feedback. I didn’t realize the embedded video isn’t showing on mobile. I’m going to add the link right away!
